Re: Creating Macros for use with ARIMAS 2.0

The following instructions will allow you to create
Macros for the function keys for use with ARIMAS 2.0.
1. Choose Special
from the Main Menu.
2. Choose Utilities.
3. Choose DOS
command.
4. The dos
command to enter is S4UDEF.
5. Choose 3
Update the Library.
6. Choose 3
KEYBOARDS.
7. Choose 2
AMEND an existing profile.
8. Choose 1
KEY_DFLT.
9. Choose 6
Control Keys
10. Choose the letter Y to answer yes to amend
an entry.
The next instruction states, "ENTER key/value of
the control key in hex:". For
example, the value of the F2 key is 3C.
You will enter 3C to effect the F2 key with a macro.
Follow the next series of instructions to create a
macro for the drop down Menu choice of [S]elect. The commands you enter will be in Bold type.
1. ENTER key/value of the control key in
hex: 3C [Enter]
2. To re-map
this key enter ..................in hex:
[Enter]
3. Make this key Invalid? (Yes/No); [N]
4. Make this a USER HOT KEY? (Yes/No): [N]
5. Make this a MACRO key? (Yes/No): [Y]
6. Enter MACRO keystrokes/values :- [ESC]
[ESC] [S] [ESC] [ESC]
After
the above keystrokes are entered, [ESC]
S [ESC] will appear on the screen. Press
[ENTER] for the option to accept the entries or to cancel them.
DO
NOT USE [ESC]. If you wish to accept
the entries press [Y], otherwise press [N].
The following is a list of function keys, their value,
and the macro keystrokes that will assist with assigning the macros to the
function keys.

After the function keys have been assigned, answer "N" to "Amend an
entry" and "8" and "Y" to update the definitions for
the Keyboard Profile. Escape back to
the main menu. Exit the Shared Logic
program. Close all other programs and
reboot.
The function keys are now assigned to the following
drop down menu choices:
F2 = Select
F3 = First
F4 = Next
F5 = Last
F6 = Previous
F7 = Update
F8 = Delete
F9 = Other
F10 = Exit
