RIMAS for DOS Software

Re:           Screen Captures using IMSI Capture in Hijaak version 5

Perform these steps to setup and capture Advanced RIMAS for DOS screens:

1.  Change the properties of the MS-DOS icon that will be used to start Advanced RIMAS.

a.                  On the Program tab, enter “Shared Logic ADVANCED” in the top field.

b.                  On the Screen tab, uncheck Display Toolbar.

2.  Change the properties for your Display.

a.                  On the Appearance Tab, set Active Title Bar Color to White, and the font color to Black.

b.                  Set the Active Title Bar font to MS San Serif (Western) with a size of 8.

3.  Open the MS-DOS window using the icon for which you set the properties above.

a.                  Set necessary drive mappings and change to the directory containing Advanced RIMAS.

b.                  Create a batch file with the name of RIMAS that will be used to start System4.

4.  Start IMSI Capture on your PC and set its options.

a.                  Select the Image button.

b.                  Select Window to capture.

c.                  Set the Capture Delay to 2 seconds or longer.

d.                  Check capture to a File, and uncheck other choices.

e.                  Select Manual new file select.

f.                    Set file type to .GIF.

g.                  Uncheck Grayscale and other options in this panel.

h.                  Select Use Query for existing file.

i.                     Check Preview.

5.  You are now ready to capture a screen form.

a.                  Display the proper form by running the appropriate RIMAS program.

b.                  Set the file name in the IMSI Capture form.

c.                  Click the “mouse trap” icon at the bottom of the IMSI Capture window.

d.                  Click the title bar of the RIMAS window to give it focus.

e.                  If the file exists form is displayed, you must overwrite or go back to change the file name.

f.                    When the RIMAS window is bordered by the IMSI Capture dashed box, click the title bar again to start the capture.

g.                  Set the Image Preview option to HIJAAK and click OK.

h.                  The screen will be captured and displayed in the HIJAAK Image Preview screen.

6.  Edit the captured screen in the HIJAAK Image Preview window.

a.                  In the menu bar, choose Image, Convert To, and Grayscale.

b.                  In the menu bar, choose Image, Invert Colors.

7.  Save the file.

a.                  Confirm that the correct file name is displayed in the HIJAAK Image Preview title bar, and then use the menu bar to choose File, Save.  If the file name exists, it will be replaced.

b.                  If you want to save under a different file name, or specify the directory, choose File, then Save As.

You may then repeat steps 5, 6 and 7 as for each screen form to capture.  Close all windows when you are finished capturing screens.  You may also restore your Display Properties and/or MS-DOS icon properties.
