Companies
and Divisions are two of the first elements that you will need to setup when
starting to work with RIMAS NT/P. Multiple companies and divisions can be
created to reflect how your business is setup.
Sharing
tables allows data that has already been setup for one company and/or division
accessible to another company/division without having to re-enter the
information.
These
tables are used when duplicate information from a single company or division
can be shared with other companies and/or divisions without affecting the
integrity of the data specific to that single company or division.
NOTE: When planning on using
Shared Tables, make sure that the tables to be shared are physically in the
same database.
The
process of sharing tables begins in the Shared Table Maintenance program in the
Administration module.
1. Click
( + ) to insert a new Division.
2. There is a dropdown list of Codes. This contains all of
the tables in RIMAS NT/P. Find the table that you want to duplicate.
3. The
Company field is the one that already
has its tables setup.
4. The
Division field is the one that
already has its tables setup.
5. Share Co. - From a
dropdown list in the grid, select the company that will share the table.
6. Share Div - From the
dropdown list in the grid, select the division that will share the table.
